That’s a community decision so I can only give an opinion which, assuming we are much more explicit about our process to manage people wanting to close/delete their account, is yes. > Can we add an ORCID id to our profile? I’ve created a feature request on the Datatracker GitHub [1]. One reason for my asking is that we can partially solve the issue of dead emails because we have such a strong personal trust model. i.e. we can design a system whereby we accept someone’s assertion that they once had personal usage of something@something but no longer do. > It might still be nice to do whatever dance ORCID would like so that the IETF > becomes a more clear source for ORCID. > > It appears that for some publications, ORCID gets my info automagically. > I can otherwise update my list via adding via our doi... and maybe I'll > research the API for doing that. Seems sensible. Again, an feature enhancement added here with all your findings would be ideal: https://github.com/ietf-tools/datatracker/issues Jay [1] https://github.com/ietf-tools/datatracker/issues/8798 -- Jay Daley IETF Executive Director exec-director@xxxxxxxx
