That’s a community decision so I can only give an opinion which, assuming we are much more explicit about our process to manage people wanting to close/delete their account, is yes.

I’m sure it can.  I’ve created a feature request on the Datatracker GitHub [1].

One reason for my asking is that we can partially solve the issue of dead emails because we have such a strong personal trust model. i.e. we can design a system whereby we accept someone’s assertion that they once had personal usage of something@something but no longer do.

Seems sensible.  Again, an feature enhancement added here with all your findings would be ideal: https://github.com/ietf-tools/datatracker/issues
