I would agree that the (email-based) community mechanism is working
well if there was some interaction. It is also possible to take a
corporate approach where the decision-makers read the emails and
remain silent. That is usually followed by a corporate empathy statement.
You mentioned "harm to reputation of the IETF". Does that mean that
there could be a decrease in sponsorship revenue (the current
estimate is $1,625,000)?
