SM, the email below seems to me to imply you have some problem with the
way the LLC is handling the community concern. I don't see why. I
would hope they don't make any decisions until they have had a chance to
collect input, examine alternatives, and discuss what they want to do.
For Jason to make any commitments to action first would be rather
surprising. What do you expect him or the rest of the LLC Board to
have done ("some interaction")?
I was actually surprised Jason even had the time to post what he did,
and I appreciate it. And is care in being clear that it was a personal
reaction, not the boards position on anything.
Yours,
Joel

(as an individual) IMO this seems to establish a problematic

well - starting with a lot of comments at the mic line in the 122
plenary and emails on the mailing list. I might expect a 'boycott'
sort of thing if stakeholders felt ignored or stymied, but that seems
far from the case here.
I would agree that the (email-based) community mechanism is working
well if there was some interaction. It is also possible to take a
corporate approach where the decision-makers read the emails and
remain silent. That is usually followed by a corporate empathy
statement.
You mentioned "harm to reputation of the IETF". Does that mean that
there could be a decrease in sponsorship revenue (the current estimate
is $1,625,000)?
