The DVAR is a cooperative project between the USGS Volcano Disaster Assistance Program (VDAP) and the Smithsonian's Global Volcanism Program (GVP). The report is underpinned by a VDAP database, E-Chron, that archives volcanic activity for eruption forecast analyses, and presented with content from the GVP Volcanoes of the World Database.
