The NASA Goddard Earth Sciences Data and Information Services Center (GES
DISC) provides near-real-time (NRT) data from the European Space Agencyâ??s
TROPOspheric Monitoring Instrument (TROPOMI) on the Sentinel-5P satellite.
These data are available only a few hours after acquisition, at the
instrumentâ??s highest spatial resolution, and are available in the data
archive for approximately ten days.

One of the NRT data products is sulfur dioxide (SO2). Recently, these data
were used to observe the SO2 released during one of the episodic lava
fountain eruptions from Hawaiiâ??s Kilauea volcano, and the SO2 cloud
resulting from the dramatic explosive eruption of Mount Etna on Sicily.
These events are described in the NASA GES DISC article â??Near-Real-Time
