Actually, I don't think it was ever doable.  Even Tiblit, which was
probably the most adjustable KDE3 theme ever made, doesn't seem
to have included a scrollbar width adjustment per se
( https://store.kde.org/p/1100840 lists what it did allow you to adjust).


The scrollbar width depends on the style in use. Some styles let you configure the width to your liking, some others probably not. For example QtCurve and Polyester allows you to set a pixel value for it.
