Well this is KDE philosophy since 2008. I am not surprised at all.

This will be hard to maintain. It is indeed old cryptic code, no one
understands anymore. I think this is why they started new project and they
are reinventing the wheel. I see increasing level of imbecility around me,
but what do I know. The guys are good developers and enthusiasts and
probably most of them use Windows, Apple or in worse case TDE :-D :-D.
