https://www.phoronix.com/news/X.Org-Server-Lots-Of-Reverts suggests
that unfortunately the real reason the main developer for X11Libre broke
away from the main X project is that he isn't a very good coder.  There
are also some indications of unhinged ideological leanings.

Maybe something worthwhile will come of this anyway, but I'm not 
holding my breath.
