I think all of the standard advice for dealing with heat is wise, but remember that you'll be in a conference room when the temperature peaks.

I checked the forecast for Madrid:

They are predicting 90-92F (~32-33 C) highs, but 70F (~21C) lows. I remember that IETF 122 BKK had very high temperatures, so I looked that up. There were three days at 95-96F (~35-36C), and BKK does not cool down so much at night.*

So, this one does not seem to be worse than the last one, at least according to the forecast. :)
