We have venues which probably are cheaper in Central and South America and Africa, but don’t want to go there … I don’t think is just a matter of price, but conveniente, and availability of sufficient facilities as we need.

All will love Madrid, I’m sure about that!

So we can start negotiating with the hotel right after the meeting and have the next one in March or November!

Anway, I just don't even know how we'd reach a consensus position on how to handle this, so I think we need to rely on individual judgment here. E.g., Tim is skipping Madrid. There are lots of things that can cause people to self-select to not attend. This is just another of them.

 

Well, I’m attending remotely.  There’s a more pressing reason I can’t attend in person, but were it not for that then yes, I’d still skip a venue that may hit 40’C+.  I appreciate it’s likely a cheap venue for us, but there must also be cheaper less hot venues for July.

If the idea is to avoid discomfort, whose comfort defines the acceptable thresholds and how should those thresholds be measured or predicted?
