I believe Dhruv has organized hubs in India that were successful.

Dhruv: The remote hubs that we tried were effective in introducing IETF to newcomers, especially when remote tools were less mature. We reviewed WG material in advance, attended the WG meeting, and then held post-mortems afterward. It worked well for those focused on a very limited number of WGs. It can't scale for multiple parallel sessions or handle bad time zones. I know others have successfully used remote hubs at academic institutions, but again for IETF onboarding. This setup isn’t ideal for active contributors—home or office environments for remote participation is better suited.

Thanks!
