Hi, this benchmarks has some performance metrics for the same desktop environment (Plasma 6.4) using Wayland vs. X11: https://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/plasma-6-4-performance-wayland-x11-comparison.html As you can see, X11 is faster and consumes fewer resources. (And that is with X11 compositing enabled. The author hints that X11 is even faster if you turn off compositing, but unfortunately does not share the numbers for that.)
