Hi Alex,

My own sysadmin experience...
Did a major version upgrade two times now always to a version higher in minor versioning than the '.0'-version. Without any issues regarding skipping the '.0'-version.

But also upgrading to for instance the v18 image. I never specify the minor versioning (so not v18.2.1). This way, the upgrade is done to the minor version which is advised. You can trace which major version correspond to which minor here: https://quay.io/repository/ceph/ceph?tab=tags

Ex. v18 correspond to v18.2.4-20240724 not v18.2.2...
