Continuing issues now updated tor F42. The desktop manager that works is
lxdm. trying gnome gives a sad face and the message

The kinfocenter window shows up with a section of the current display
and non of the expected entries. Problem has persisted through several
kernel updates and reinstall of akmods.
What settings could cause this?
