There was no way to change the resolution as that was the only one
available. Unacceptable.
So I decided to move back to nouveau and remove the akmod. Somehow it took
away a chunk of my KDE so the reboot resulted in a black screen with a
cursor in the upper left corner. Fortunately I still had an access via ssh
and was able to reinstall everything from my iPad.
Many users who tried to remove the rpmfusion Nvidai driver ended up also removing
nvidia-gpu-firmware.noarch needed by the nouveau driver.
