*AGU Annual Meeting 15-19 December 2025*

*Section:* Volcanology, Geochemistry and Petrology

We invite submissions to our session *"V037 - Volcano Processes,
Monitoring, and Hazards
<https://agu.confex.com/agu/agu25/prelim.cgi/Session/248866>"*

Volcanic eruptions result from complex processes which lead to different
eruptive scenarios, each associated with distinct hazards such as lava
flows, pyroclastic density currents, lahars, ash clouds, and volcanic
bombs. Monitoring volcanic activity is essential for both understanding
ongoing processes and assessing potential hazards. By combining
observational data, numerical simulations, and experiments, we can better
understand eruptive dynamics and improve risk mitigation strategies. This
session aims to bring together studies that deepen our understanding of the
complex processes driving volcanic eruptions through the integration of
multi-parameter monitoring techniques, advanced modeling approaches, and
experiments. We welcome contributions that utilize seismic, geodetic,
thermal, geochemical, and remote sensing observations, as well as those
employing numerical simulations or experiments to investigate the
mechanisms of magma ascent and eruption dynamics. Emphasis is placed on the
synergistic use of these approaches to enhance eruption forecasting
capabilities and inform effective volcanic hazard assessment and mitigation
strategies.
