If so, we need your help to improve volcanic hazard communication, by documenting your current understanding of a couple of key scientific definitions pertinent to volcanic hazard communication . We are seeking input on the current understanding of what is meant by an *â??erupting volcanoâ??, â??active volcanoâ??, â??dormant volcanoâ??, and â??extinct volcanoâ??.* This work will be a research project collaboration between the University of Canterbury, GNS Science, University of Roma Tre, and University of Geneva.
