Dear volcano plumbing enthusiast,

Registration and abstract submission is now open for the Laccoliths, sills
and dykes (LASI) VII conference to be held 9-11 September 2025 in
Hveragerdi in Iceland.

Please register via https://lasi7.hi.is/registration/

before
8 June 2025 23:59 GMT.

The LASI conferences have a major field component and gather specialists in
volcanology, tectonics, structural geology, petrology, geochemistry,
geochronology, geophysics, exploration geology, and modelers.

Please submit your abstract to one of the five conference themes
(9-11/09/2025):

   1. Interactions between magma transport and tectonics
   2. Monitoring and modelling plumbing system processes
   3. Sheet intrusions and magma transport â?? case studies
   4. The volcanic-plutonic connection
   5. Magma plumbing systems and georesources

We are pleased to announce an exciting line-up of keynote speakers: Dr.
Diego Lobos (Cornell University), Prof. Dr. Gregory P. De Pascale
(University of Iceland), Dr. Séverine Furst (Geomar) and Dr. Craig Magee
(University of Leeds).

The mid-conference field trip on 10/09/2025 is included in the registration
fee and will take all conference participants across the Reykjanes
Peninsula, from the plumbing systems of volcanic rift zones up to their
fresh products at the surface.

Post-conference field trips will take smaller groups to different parts of
East-Iceland to dive into VIPS processes:

Field trip 1: Plumbing systems fueling high-temperature geothermal systems
(11-13/09/2025)
Field trip 2: Roots of central volcanoes: the plutonic complexes of SE
Iceland (11-13/09/2025)
Field trip 3: The roots of rift zones - flood basalt, central volcanoes and
dyke swarms of East-Iceland (11-14/09/2025)
Field trip 4: Shallow silicic magma intrusion and magma-induced deformation
(11-13/09/2025)

Sponsors are still very welcome to help reduce the cost of the conference.
