2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2 From: Gustavo Bejar Lopez <gbejarlo@xxxxxxx> Dear Colleagues, We are excited to announce the next session of the CONVERSE ER Spring 2025 Webinar Series. Our webinar series aims to provide a platform for graduate students and early career scientists to share their research and develop new skills relevant to the field of volcanic science. The next webinar will be presented by *Kyle Dayton* from Cornell University. *Title: *Revealing Magma Reservoirs: The Role of Melt and Fluid Inclusions in Understanding the Eruption of Tajogaite, La Palma 2021 *Time:* March 25, 2025 at 4 PM EDT (UTC-4) *Please, register for this and upcoming webinars at (you only need to register once for the whole Spring Webinar Series): * https://michigantech.zoom.us/meeting/register/CBwWoETASOqrkVsiPnllhw <https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://michigantech.zoom.us/meeting/register/CBwWoETASOqrkVsiPnllhw__;!!IKRxdwAv5BmarQ!cZzMnOJ6rAGfiaDTzEkrEuppRgGSeHbemc3PBkQ1t6SdOr9yYfJ1mspWP5J-WketYFAWLne5OJOH8jqTBnFotXnq_w$> *Bio and summary:* Kyle Dayton is a PhD candidate at Cornell University using geochemistry, mineralogy, and melt and fluid inclusions to understand the role volatiles have on geologic processes. In this webinar, Kyle will discuss how melt and fluid inclusions, both trapped within olivine phenocrysts during crystal growth, preserve valuable information about pre-eruptive magma storage conditions of volcanic eruptions. Utilizing the geochemical information preserved within these two inclusion types can reveal the history of magma chambers at depth and offer a window into the processes that occur prior to volcanic eruptions. *Missed any of our sessions?* Check our website to access recordings from previous webinar series and to find out more about CONVERSE-ER: https://www.converse-er.org/ <https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.converse-er.org/__;!!IKRxdwAv5BmarQ!cZzMnOJ6rAGfiaDTzEkrEuppRgGSeHbemc3PBkQ1t6SdOr9yYfJ1mspWP5J-WketYFAWLne5OJOH8jqTBnEe-eC2Cg$> Join us next week to learn more about Tajogaite/La Palma with Kyle! 2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2 ------------------------------
