(Washington, D.C., August 7, 2025) – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins yesterday hosted the fourth day of the Great American Farmers Market on the National Mall with an evening honoring those who protect our national treasures and discover how USDA safeguards our landscapes.
Yesterday was themed “Forest and Firefighters: Protecting America’s Legacy” and the day's programming spotlighted wildfire readiness and honored the heroes who protect America’s landscapes. Secretary Rollins was joined by Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, Secretary of Education Linda McMahon, Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin, and Chief of Protocol of the United States Monica Crowley. The program also featured an 81st Birthday Bash for Smokey Bear complete with wildfire tips, scavenger hunt and a National Forest Foundation (NFF) booth, real-life firefighter heroes and a firetruck, and a headlining performance by LOCASH.
