(Washington, D.C., May 19, 2025) – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins and U.S. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum will receive a 2025 operational fire briefing at the USDA Forest Service (USFS) and sign a Joint Memorandum on fire season preparedness TOMORROW, May 20th. The event will focus on the outlook for the 2025 fire year and agency readiness efforts.
Secretary Rollins and Secretary Burgum to Receive 2025 Operational Fire Briefing and Sign Secretarial Memo
WHAT: Secretary Rollins and Secretary Burgum will receive a 2025 operational fire briefing at the USDA Forest Service’s National Fire Desk. Media will be invited into the briefing to capture b-roll ahead of the closed press briefing. Following the briefing, Secretary Rollins and Secretary Burgum will sign a Joint Memorandum on operational readiness for the 2025 fire season. Immediately following, Secretary Rollins and Secretary Burgum will hold a media availability.
