Do you have anything in the directory ~/.trinity/share/config/displayconfig/ ?

Also, depending on *why* you can't read the screen, it may be possible
to force-change the current display setup back to something more useful 
using xrandr at the command line through your SSH session, but read 
the man page first as it isn't the simplest thing to use.
