	Thanks Felix.  I took a chance and rebooted the machine, and all is well.  
Apparently, though there is no way to back out the "Test Settings" they are 
not actually permanently stored; but unless one really understands how this 
stuff works (and I don't), avoid fiddling with these monitor 'improvement' 
tools. :-)
