Long long ago I used to use kdebluetooth and OBEX to get pictures
from phones, but it was a pain and I no longer remember the details.

These days we use Syncthing to backup phones continuously to users'
own Linux laptops.  Users can easily access their phone pictures in
the DCIM folder in their Syncthing backups on their laptops.

Some apps store pics and videos on remote servers.  In such cases
media can usually be transferred by sharing via email, WhatsApp, etc.
