[linux-next:master] [crypto] 34f170a590: CFI_failure_at_sk_filter_trim_cap

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

we think this commit is not the root cause of the "CFI failure", but it
changes the failure's stats:

f1c09a0b6add651e 34f170a590710737f9611231cd7
---------------- ---------------------------
       fail:runs %reproduction fail:runs
           | | |
          6:6 -100% :6 dmesg.CFI_failure_at_crypto_acomp_alloc_streams
           :6 100% 6:6 dmesg.CFI_failure_at_sk_filter_trim_cap
          6:6 -100% :6 dmesg.RIP:crypto_acomp_alloc_streams
           :6 100% 6:6 dmesg.RIP:sk_filter_trim_cap

for comparision, one parent dmesg is attached.

we don't have enough knowledge how this commit is related with this stats change
and our auto-bisect is broken due to this stats change then we failed to bisect
the fbc for dmesg.CFI_failure_at_crypto_acomp_alloc_streams, so we just make out
below report FYI what we observed in our tests.

kernel test robot noticed "CFI_failure_at_sk_filter_trim_cap" on:

commit: 34f170a590710737f9611231cd77b37ea41f707a ("crypto: simd - Include asm/simd.h in internal/simd.h")
https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/next/linux-next.git master

in testcase: boot

config: x86_64-randconfig-002-20250506
compiler: clang-20
test machine: qemu-system-x86_64 -enable-kvm -cpu SandyBridge -smp 2 -m 16G

(please refer to attached dmesg/kmsg for entire log/backtrace)

If you fix the issue in a separate patch/commit (i.e. not just a new version of
the same patch/commit), kindly add following tags
