Two volume related issue with Sony Audio/Video receiver

Dear Linux folks,

Pairing the Sony A/V receiver STR-DH190 [1] with the Dell XPS 13 9360 (Linux 6.17+, *btusb*; 0cf3:e300 Qualcomm Atheros Communications QCA61x4 Bluetooth 4.0), the volume control does work, and changing the volume in GNOME also updates the displayed volume on the receiver, and changing the volume on the receiver, the volume meter in GNOME Shell changes too.

There are two issues:

1. The volume level bar(?) in GNOME Shell already reaches the maximum, when the level is at around 50 on the Sony receiver, whose maximum volume is 100.

2. Changing the volume by turning the knob on the receiver, the volume bar in GNOME Shell does not change smoothly.

I uploaded the output of `btmon -w ….cap` [2] and a screen recording [3].

Where would I report these issues to?

Kind regards,

Paul
