I don't think there is, but I was able to change the width by going over
to the settings > Profile > Edit > Tabs > Tab Title and giving up on the
default syntax, which was
%u on %h at %d : %n
and changing it to
%d : %n (shows only the current directory and program name)

huge. In system settings -> fonts, there is no font specific to tabs.
Is there a way to make konsole tabs smaller in plasma 6?
