Document: draft-ietf-detnet-controller-plane-framework Title: Deterministic Networking (DetNet) Controller Plane Framework Reviewer: Kyle Rose Review result: Ready This document has been reviewed as part of the transport area review team's ongoing effort to review key IETF documents. These comments were written primarily for the transport area directors, but are copied to the document's authors and WG to allow them to address any issues raised and also to the IETF discussion list for information. When done at the time of IETF Last Call, the authors should consider this review as part of the last-call comments they receive. The summary of this review is Ready. # Summary This document provides a high-level overview of the structure and responsibilities of the DetNet "Controller Plane", a combined control and management plane. Specific technologies relevant to transport are mentioned (e.g., MPLS, segment routing), but are primarily used in examples illustrating how a future specification might leverage them to achieve the objectives of DetNet. # Reviewer comments There's not much here. This almost feels like a problem statement for a specification rather than a specification itself. I wonder about the value of publishing this as an RFC rather than using it internally to the detnet WG as the basis for developing an actual control and management plane specification. -- last-call mailing list -- last-call@xxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to last-call-leave@xxxxxxxx
