I’d say that the biggest draw he reported was “handling emails” and that is, of course, a bit on the vague side. I *think* a lot of those emails were following up on Discusses or Comments, so perhaps you can put that in the “document review” pot. But then there is all the work of oversight of the Area and the WGs. It was also apparent that the components of the load varied drastically from week to week, even if the load generally remained steady. I am under the impression that "supervise a WG" includes having some level of understanding of current discussion topics on the WG list (though not necessarily a detailed understanding of all such topics and certainly not active participation in threads that do not seek or need AD input). This is going to outweigh the amount of emails involved in following up on ballot positions for all but the most prolific at ballot commenting of ADs. -Ben
