I think it would be a good idea to restart the IETF local Hubs which disappeared during COVID notwithstanding other concerns.
We are locked into a contract, there are big cancellation costs, the worst case is that we either lose a meeting or have a compromised meeting with low onsite attendance. One meeting isn't going to hurt.
But we should not be booking any more meetings in the US until there is clarity on the security situation there.

IETF 127 is scheduled for November 2026. Many things can change between
now and 2026. Including new elections in the US in November 2025. And
who knows what over development in the world.
