Sudden issues with SELINUX

In the last day or so I am getting issues with SELINUX on a Fedora 42 host, for example manipulating boolean variables during kernel testing I am seeing errors like this:

zuke# semanage boolean -m --off selinuxuser_execheap
libsepol.context_from_record: type kmscon_conf_t is not defined
libsepol.context_from_record: could not create context structure
libsepol.context_from_string: could not create context structure
libsepol.sepol_context_to_sid: could not convert system_u:object_r:kmscon_conf_t:s0 to sid
invalid context system_u:object_r:kmscon_conf_t:s0
libsemanage.semanage_validate_and_compile_fcontexts: setfiles returned error code 255.
OSError: Error

Looks like /etc/kmscon/* defines kmscon_conf_t but I don't have that directory hierarchy. Nothing I have managed to search on the issue has been helpful so far. Also I cannot use the graphical SELinux Management utility to remove local policies, a similar error appears in a pop-up.

A working Fedora 42 also doesn't seem to have /etc/kmscon/.

Any ideas?
