-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2025-4f1f059b78 2025-08-03 02:13:54.193215+00:00 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name : python-pytest-qt Product : Fedora 41 Version : 4.5.0 Release : 1.fc41 URL : https://github.com/pytest-dev/pytest-qt Summary : pytest support for PyQt and PySide applications Description : pytest-qt is a pytest plugin that allows programmers to write tests for PyQt5, PyQt6 and PySide6 applications. The main usage is to use the qtbot fixture, responsible for handling qApp creation as needed and provides methods to simulate user interaction, like key presses and mouse clicks. This allows you to test and make sure your view layer is behaving the way you expect after each code change. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: 4.5.0 (2025-07-01) Added official support for Python 3.13. Dropped support for EOL Python 3.8. Dropped support for EOL PySide 2. Type annotations are now provided. Note that because the Qt library used is defined at runtime, Qt classes are currently annotated as Any. Fixed PySide6 exceptions / warnings about being unable to disconnect signals with qtbot.waitSignal. Reduced the likelihood of trouble when using qtbot.waitSignal(s) and qtbot.waitCallback where the signal/callback is emitted from a non-main thread. In theory, more problems remain and this isn't a proper fix yet. In practice, it seems impossible to provoke any problems in pytest-qtâ??s testsuite. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Thu Jul 24 2025 Benjamin A.
