That's my thoughts too. Once the pagure group for the SIG gets made I plan on adding the SIG group as a contributor to both `openmw` and to `mygui`, both of the packages I maintain. I believe mygui counts as game tooling, at least for developers anyway. Obviously every maintainer can decide what to include and what not to, but I think it'd be cool to add the SIG as a contributor on as many game-related packages as possible.

Not sure re: list membership. I think game tooling as well as games would be relevant to the SIG, such as emulators, level editors, etc.

Woops, missed the part where you say you maintain wesnoth. My bad! Rest still stands.

Do we know if the wesnoth, cdda etc maintainers are also in the SIG mailing list/FAS group?
It seems we will be getting a pagure/src group very soon, and if everyone on this mailing list joins the FAS group, I believe it will automatically put us in it. So we should be able to add the SIG to any repos willing to participate once that's ready.
As a follow up; do we want to limit the SIG to just games, or also game related packages? i.e. does SCUMMVM count as a games SIG package? Lutris? What about more game dev related things, like godot or mygui?

That's not a bad idea. Historically the SIG has been mostly centered around the email list and helping with reviews for new games.
If there are bugs that need quick squashing, this list is a good place to contact, as I think most game package maintainers are on it, and several, including my self, are provenpackagers and can commit to nearly anything.
I also maintain wesnoth and 0ad, FYI. :) FAS:limb

Hello all,
We have a lot of game repositories on here, for instance `0ad`, `stratagus`, `wesnoth`, `cdda` and now `openmw`. Are all of these projects part of the gaming SIG? If not, do we want to reach out to the maintainers and bring them formally into the SIG? There's also an issue on pagure to create a group on dist-git for the SIG; do we want to add the SIG as a collaborator on all of these projects (or at least ticket permissions)? I imagine that'd be up to each individual maintainer, of course.
Thanks,
Claire R
