I don't know when exactly that was, but all these things could play a role, in addition to what the others wrote, especially the relatively small SSD OSDs could play a bigger role as Anthony already suggested. So it won't be easy to pinpoint the root cause, there are too many factors involved, unless you have captured logs and some additional terminal output during the rebuild like 'ceph osd df', or how big the PGs on the SSDs are and how exactly you rebuilt the OSDs. A lot of questions… Yes indeed. Good questions…. Don’t have the answer. But it gives me maybe some clues to dig in. Olivier
