In five facilities providing dialysis in four states, six patients were infected or colonized with C. auris and received dialysis for up to 4 months without transmission of the pathogen to other patients. Among 174 potentially exposed patient contacts, no new Candida auris patients were identified. In some instances, no additional control measures other than standard dialysis infection prevention and control practices were used.
