Hi,

Thank you for your input. Unfortunately our filesystem was XFS. So, we are looking at other tools that work on XFS. I will post an update on the outcome of other tools

http://extundelete.sourceforge.net/

It's worked for me, but on a busy server the inodes may well already have been
over-written.
