How to edit djvu files ?
Do I need to convert the djvu file in a pdf file ?
DjVu is a format for scanned text. A DjVu file therefore contains images
(compressed using a codec designed specifically for scanned text),
though it can also contain text that corresponds to the images, so you
can 'cut and paste' and so forth. For that reason, DjVu files cannot be
edited the same way that many PDFs can: It's images.
If you install the djvulibre package, that will give you the ability to
extract images from the files, create DjVu files of your own, and so
forth. I have some scripts I've written to help with some of that. Feel
free to contact me if you'd like them.
