DNS ? > This seems overly complex and none standard. Why are you not using a cheap 1Gib switch to connect all the systems? You could then run dhcpd on one interface and with a long enough lease time, 7 days, your systems would all have stable IP addresses. Boot order will then not matter. On the other interface connect to the internet.
