Since a few days back, my Chrome's tabs lost background - I'm using dark theme so won't tell how it does otherwise - only tab's text is there, kind of, but the whole tab (top bar tab) is translucent, whatever is underneath shows.
It's now a matter of Chrome's setting - those I did not change, but also did reset to "defaults" - I think I'd blame some recent rpm updates.
Only the current/active tabs has consistent, black background.
When underneath background is white, then Chrome's tab text is gone too.
I'm on Intel ARC 310.
