If I am correct, there was a sagemath package in the past, but it seems
that it is not available anymore.
Could somebody clarifies the situation?
Linux is suffering from limited developer/packager resources, so projects like sagemath need tosupport cross-platform package systems like conda.I used this with an conda envornment that used an older python when sagemath didn't support thecurrent python version (probably Fedora 40), but have not used sagemath recently
I still have the Conda Sage environment from Fedora 40, so did 'conda update -n sage sage' and
got a working sagemath using python3.12 which is still recommended at the above link.
