From: Thomas Huth <thuth@xxxxxxxxxx> redhat/configs: Explicitly disable CONFIG_VIRTIO_MEM on powerpc in RHEL virtio-mem is currently not supported on ppc64le at all, but since CONFIG_VIRTIO_MEM is enabled in the generic settings and we want to avoid that we enable it by surprise in RHEL in the future, let's better disable it explicitly for now (if we want to enable it in the future, it should be done consciously with an appropriate ticket and testing).
